PDX BackflowFind a Tester

About PDX Backflow

I'm Zeb, a homeowner in St. Johns. I got the Water Bureau's reminder letter, dug through the state list to find someone to test my backflow assembly, and figured the finding-a-tester part shouldn't be that annoying. So I built this: the OHA list of certified testers for the Portland metro area, in one place, with a number you can tap to call.

Independence disclosure

PDX Backflow is an independent, privately operated website. We are not the Portland Water Bureau, the City of Portland, or the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operating on behalf of any of those agencies. This is a private site, not a government one — when in doubt, go straight to the source and confirm on OHA's or your water provider's own website.

Where our information comes from

Our tester directory is built from the OHA's public list of certified Backflow Assembly Testers for Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas counties. That list is voluntary: testers choose whether to appear on it, so it is not a complete registry of every active certified tester in the area. Appearing in our directory is not an endorsement of any individual or company, and we encourage you to verify certification directly with OHA's official list if you have any doubt.

How we make money

We're a small, independently run service. Today the directory is free to browse and call. We may introduce paid placement or lead-based pricing for testers in the future; this would not change the price you pay for your test, and it would not influence which testers are eligible to appear on the official OHA list.
